Oakland University Basketball T-Shirt
Oakland University held a competition for a game day merchandise design to boost student engagement and pride in OU athletics. The result is the creation of the “Let’s Eat” campaign, designed to resonate with students through the use of current slang- ‘eating.’ This call to action phrase not only uses this slang but also implies wanting more and being hungry for success. The main challenge in designing this merch was balancing OU Athletics’ strict brand guidelines while maintaining a budget-conscious approach.
As a result of the competition, my group’s design was selected to be printed out and sold at OU basketball home games and in the athletics online store. Additionally, the “Let’s Eat” campaign is now partnered with the Oakland University food pantry to further engage the campus community.
