New York Bagel Website Rebrand
New York Bagel, a beloved family-owned business in Metro Detroit, received a thoughtful rebrand to elevate its original online presence. The redesigned website brings fresh energy to the brand with a newly crafted logo that ensures legibility at any scale. The overall design maintains a New York aesthetic through the navy blue color palette with hints of brown. The combination of a cursive, more decorative typeface and a classic serif enhances a perfect balance of playfulness and professionalism.







My process —
I love to start each project with pencil and paper sketches. This approach is most efficient for me to brainstorm and jot down all my ideas. Starting with the logo rebrand, I focused on capturing the business’s new vibe, which helped shape the website layout, as seen in the following sketches.
For the logo, I drew inspiration from iconic New York imagery, then incorporated bagels into the design. While these illustrations didn’t make it into the final logo, the process was key in shaping the overall style.
Once the brand identity and website sketches were finalized, I transitioned into Figma to build a rough draft to determine the appropriate asset sizes. With the wireframe set, integrating the final assets becomes much quicker and more efficient.
